Ordering Information

The following terms and conditions apply to all orders which are processed by Apollo 2000, either online or by any other form of communication and form part of the contract between us. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference. Your use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Prices

All prices include VAT. No contract is created until we have accepted your order. In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price, due to a typographical error or an error in pricing information received from our suppliers, we will not process your order and will instead alert you immediately to the actual price of the goods. You will then have the option to proceed at this updated price or cancel and receive a full refund. We will only process any such order with your explicit authority. Prices quoted are subject to stock availability.

Fraud

With the level of fraudulent orders being placed on the internet increasing, we now have additional measures in place to check orders made via our website. All orders are checked as thoroughly as possible using the information provided. However as a result of these extra security measures, it is possible that we might need to speak to you prior to the goods being dispatched and may put the order temporarily on hold whilst we do so. Please do not be offended if we contact you to make additional security checks after you have placed your order as these procedures are put in place to try to protect our customers against potential credit card fraud.

Products

Product images, descriptions and specifications are shown for guidance only; for example cabinet/case colours may vary, TV stands shown may differ from those supplied, remote control designs may vary during manufactures' production run etc. If we are aware of significant differences we will try to ensure correct information is displayed alongside the product in question. In addition, some items may require set-up and/or assembly; for example TV's, DVD's and Hi-fi products may need manually tuning, TV/cabinet stands may need assembly and washing machines will need to have transit bolts removed etc.

Payment

Payment will be taken at the time of placing your order. A contract between us is not formed until we have processed the transaction and started the dispatch process. We accept payment by most major credit and debit cards as well as PayPal. We also accept payment by cheque and postal order. We use Equifax Cheque Services, a division of Equifax Plc, to guarantee any cheque.

Guarantee

All products are supplied are guaranteed for a minimum period of one year from the date of delivery.

Price Promise

Our Price Promise applies to an advertised price (excluding any voucher codes) at an electrical retailers that is in stock, at a better price, within 7 days of your order being placed. Display items are not classed as in stock.

Hughes Direct will NOT honour price matches on the following; Ex display items, Closing down offers, Apple products, Sony Playstation, Membership scheme prices, Grey imports.

Delivery

Please see our 'Delivery' section for more information on our delivery services. Our aim is to deliver all goods ordered within 5 working days, subject to availability. We may need to contact you before your delivery date to carry out additional security checks to protect our customers and/or make alternative delivery arrangements. If this is the case you will usually be contacted within 48 hours of the order being placed.

Recycling of electrical and electronic equipment

The UK's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations require that all retailers of electrical goods assist in delivering a UK wide WEEE collection system and encourage consumers in the participation of recycling electronic equipment.
There are several different ways this can be done You may take the item to your local council site or you can contact your local council offices to arrange for a home collection of WEEE, there may be a small charge for home collections alternatively you can bring the item in to one of our stores. Please contact us and we will let you know the nearest location.
Electronic waste is one of the fastest growing waste streams and much of it can be recycled and resources recovered to make new consumer goods. All electrical items sold now carry the 'crossed out wheeled bin' symbol.
Do not place unwanted electrical goods into the normal domestic waste stream. Please contact us if you are unsure of what to do with unwanted electrical goods.

Under the Waste Battery Regulations, Apollo 2000 offer a take back scheme for all portable waste batteries You can return your waste batteries to our business premises either Store or Service Department in person (Do not post them).
Alternatively, you can find your local waste portable battery recycling facility at www.recyclenow.co.uk
Most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries will have collection bins for used batteries, and some town halls, libraries or schools may also set up collection points. End-users may find stores in their local area more accessible.
